Making a real difference together

At Fashion Fusion CIC, we believe in real skills, real connections, and real change. Discover the profound impact we're making in communities and for the planet, one stitch and one workshop at a time.

Closet Remix - Sustainable Styling App

Closet Remix is a sustainability-first personal styling app created by Fashion Fusion CIC founder Estelle Pearce. Built on a simple idea - use what you already own - it helps people make the most of their existing wardrobe, reduce fashion waste, and make more considered choices about what they buy.

The app tracks the environmental impact of re-wearing clothes, suggests outfits for every occasion, and shows users the real CO₂ and water savings they're making. Every outfit logged is a step away from fast fashion.

Revenue from Closet Remix directly supports Fashion Fusion CIC's community programmes - meaning every subscription helps fund workshops, skills sessions, and wellbeing initiatives across South Yorkshire.

Currently in development - launching soon.

South Yorkshire Community Foundation: 40 Year Celebration

Fashion Fusion CIC and the Roots to Renewal project was over the moon to be featured in South Yorkshire Community Foundation 40 year celebration short film - showcasing the amazing work SYCF do for community groups and projects like ours. SYCF have played a big part in getting the Roots to Renewal project of the ground through initial funding that helped set the stage and build a community and through their continued support and advice they helped us to feel confident to apply for future funding; helping us to secure our Awards for All in 2025.

The Colours Keep Spreading

How Roots to Renewal continues to grow, in our community and beyond

When we started Roots to Renewal, we hoped the skills people learned wouldn't stop when the workshops ended. We hoped they'd take root and grow.

That's exactly what's happening.

Mandy Keating came to us to learn natural dyeing, at our dye garden with Plantaura and with Estelle of Fashion Fusion at St Legers Greenwood Community Hall. She's since been commissioned by Heritage Doncaster to create artwork on the ecology of mining, foraging her own inks from former colliery sites. And she's now won a Research and Development Grant from Arts Council England for a new project, Wild Colours, with Angela of Plantaura helping her grow her own dye garden.

Sadie of Sewn by Sadie Bee learned eco printing with us at DGLAM, and has added beautiful botanical silk scarf workshops to her own offer in Hatfield, Doncaster.

This is what community work is meant to do. Not a project that ends, but a seed that keeps growing.

Skills passed hand to hand. New funding won. New people brought together by colour, nature and creativity.

To Mandy, Sadie, and Angela and Bex at Plantaura, thank you. The roots are spreading, and we can't wait to see what blooms next.

If you're feeling inspired to try natural dyeing yourself, head over to our Resources for free, easy-to-follow guides - everything you need to start turning plants into colour at home.

Roots to Renewal was a Fashion Fusion CIC pilot, funded by National Lottery Awards for All and Doncaster Council's Environmental Pride grant.

Garments saved

Every repaired, upcycled, or remade garment is one less heading to landfill. Did you know a single pair of jeans takes 33.4kg of CO₂ to produce? Our work helps reduce this environmental burden significantly.

Skills built

From threading a needle for the first time to creating digital garments in CLO3D, we meet people wherever they are on their creative journey. We empower individuals with valuable, hands-on skills.

Confidence grown

For many, the biggest takeaway isn't just a new skill; it's the profound sense of belonging, pride, and confidence they gain from what they've made. We foster self-esteem through creativity.

Our reach and impact

We're proud to bring our workshops and activities to various communities,

raising awareness and forming crucial partnerships.
